Decoding the Colors inside a Kaleidoscope

Each kaleidoscope is unique in its own way, depicting magical shapes and colors whenever you look through a looking glass. After awhile you may come to enjoy some colors more than others. Did you know that every color has a different meaning, and when we choose one color over another it can help us better understand ourselves?

Red, the warmest of all colors, is often chosen by males and people who are sociable and outgoing. The color red is connected with warmth, danger, anger, life, liveliness, passion and lust.

Brown provides people with feelings of wholesomeness and dependability.

Orange is a very powerful color. It often brings about cravings for food, and increased enthusiasm and imagination. Those people who are drawn to the color orange are usually thoughtful and genuine.

Yellow calls to mind feelings of clarity and awareness, as well as symbolizing wisdom and joy.

Green is the color of nature and balance. It symbolizes respect for oneself, and means learning, growth and harmony. This color is often a favorite of well balanced people.

Blue is the color of the sky and ocean. Often representing sleep, the color blue is the color of inspiration, sincerity, and spirituality. This calming color is usually favored by conservative people, and provides us with a feeling of distance.

Purple is often the color of choice for people who are seeking peace of mind. This vibrant color is the color of good judgment and has been used to represent magic, mystery, and royalty.

The next time you’re looking through the lens of a kaleidoscope make sure to look carefully at each color and decide which one is your favorite.

Blue, Blues, Blue Glass and Blue Kaleidoscopes

I wore blue turtleneck, jeans and blue sweater today. And the 3 scopes I’m most enamored with today are all gorgeous and tranquil creations from blue artglass. The kaleidoscopes use traditional stained glass technique as well as modern magic. Blue stained glass kaleidoscopes are what I am enthralled with today.

The first scope that soothes this Monday is the Kittleson Midnight Blue Mystic Rapture. This elegant kaleidoscope has a serene deep blue and the full palate of shades of this dusky blue inside.

Another scope that showcases incredible blue glass is the Bella Sera crafted by Sue Rioux.
This is an hip and modern sculptural statement using traditional stained glass techniques.
